Day eight. To Najera

JIM: Payback. Thats what happened yesterday at the church. Many years ago my father, mother and some children visited us in Omaha, Nebraska. My Dad wanted to say grace and i refused as i had become agnostic. It hurt him deeply and i regret being so selfish. I lit a candle and shed a tear for that memory yesterday. See picture.

Last night we had great pinchos and tapas in logrono as well as amazing Crienza. It was a fun night and we were out late.
Today we walked 30 km or so again. We are at 200 km and i am really tired for the first time. A lung infection and leg issues are not helping. We walked out of town together, the three amigos. See picture.
After a short time Australia Dave joined me and we walked. A beautiful lake and park as well as rolling hills with vinyards everywhere. It was a beautiful day, chilling in morning with some high clouda. I stpped at the first town for coffee and breakfast. A young German lad Jillie(?) sat with me and a friend of his and i worked on his blisters. I am becoming famous as the hawaii dr for blisters. I walked with Dave and elairceo to the next bar for a cervasa and a baguette and again brought out the medical kit for dr dan from spokanes wife deon. Everyone is so appreciative.
Dave and Leairceo went ahead and i walked the last 11 km alone. Having some dificulty finding the albergue. We had a couple beers in the plaze after showering and hand washing clothes. There was a little fiesta with music in the plaza. Another beautiful little village. Waiting for dinner now and a good nights sleep.

Aloha

Jim
